Performing Arts
Management is the managing agency for Brigham Young University’s performing
companies and functions in professional as well as educational circles. The
touring program typically reaches 140 cities in 20 countries annually. With
more than 400 performances each year, these professional-level ensembles
delight and uplift hundreds of thousands worldwide and appear before millions
on foreign and domestic television.
This collection is comprised of one
series dealing mainly with correspondence between peoples and performance
groups from the years 1965 to 1982. The correspondence is concerning the
arrangement and finalization of performance plans.

Departmental History
Representing the finest in the performing arts from Brigham Young
University, Brigham Young University’s touring ensembles annually present
concerts worldwide. They also perform for conventions, workshops, festivals,
competitions, and other community outreach activities. Presenters include arts
councils, civic clubs, schools, charitable and service organizations and
private groups. Performing Arts Management is the managing agency for BYU’s
performing companies and functions in professional as well as educational
circles. The touring program typically reaches 140 cities in 20 countries
annually. With more than 400 performances each year, these professional-level
ensembles delight and uplift hundreds of thousands worldwide and appear before
millions on foreign and domestic television.
Scope and Content Note
This series is mainly correspondence between peoples and performance
groups during the years 1965-1982. These correspondence covers such matters as
finances, billing statements, communication between management personnel,
communication between students involved in the performance groups, and
communication between staff members.

The correspondence is arranged in reverse chronological order.
